“New York” restaurants in Chisinau are happy to welcome their guests and to provide them a safe services, varied cuisine and special atmosphere

Despite the pandemic times that we're living in, Chisinau is still a very dynamic city. Streets are full of life and on the restaurant terraces we can see guests that are keeping the distance between each other. And if we would not see waiters with protective masks and disinfectants placed at the entrance, the scenery almost wouldn't be different from any other summer evenings from the past. Almost... 

In restaurants, not only the distance between tables has changed, but also the approach of the people to going out in the city is now with more focus to safe and more comfort. What were the most prestigious places in the capital doing during the quarantine? With this curiosity in mind I went to the "New York" restaurants and "Zaxi Fine and Finest" restaurant.

 

"New York" Restaurant (Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Chisinau)

Everything here is designed for the complete safety of restaurant guests. Entering and exiting the "New York" restaurant is through different doors and if you don't have a face mask, you'll get one for free. The restaurant menu is printed on disposable paper, but you can also use it online, without touching it, by scanning a QR code. If requested, guests can receive disposable tableware. Napkins, salt and pepper are offered in individual packaging. Besides cutlery, the restaurant is also disinfecting the money.

The special lunch offer - Business Lunch - has become a pleasant novelty for the restaurant guests. On weekdays, between 11:30 and 14:00 you have a complete lunch including soup, salad, main course with meat (or, if you prefer, vegetarian), dessert and a drink - all at the price of 99 lei.

The chef with international experience creates a new menu every day, which he calls "a cultural mix, cooked with passion". He personally selects agricultural products from different regions of the country. All jams and sauces are prepared right in the restaurant's kitchen, and the meat dishes get a special flavor, being cooked by using a unique Turkish technique.

„New York” Restaurant & Bar (Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel)

The "New York" restaurant, located in the heart of the capital, in the "Radisson Blu Leogrand" hotel, applies the same strict safety measures for its guests. To maintain the social distance on the terrace, this restaurant is using the special plexiglass separating panels. In addition, the restaurant provide two private dining rooms, compact and cozy, for families or small groups, equipped with blinds for a complete privacy.

At the guest’s preferences, they can receive any of the dishes of the menu packed, using the new "Take Away" service, which is available in both "New York" restaurants. The specific containers that are used for this purpose are made of a heat-resistant and ecological material, which, unlike plastic, keeps the temperature, does not interact with food and does not change its taste. This way, the guests can enjoy their favorite dishes at home or at the office keeping the same quality they are used to at the restaurant.
